Fusion Confusion Review

Hi everyone!

After a loooong time of preparation and loads of efforts our Fusion Confusion 2008 Diwali Ball was ready to rock!

We had a great evening full of dances, plays, performances and loads of comedy! Did you miss it? Then this post is for you :) A full review of a great and unforgettable night!

Don't forget that if you want to see Fusion Confusion again and again, you only have to buy the DVDs of the Gala which you can collect at ICC between 7 and 9 pm any day :D

What was Fusion Confusion meant to be? Why did we choose this name? Well, as you all so, Fusion Confusion was all about mixing and remixing, remembering good old days and enjoying with dhamakedar new rhythms... Same actor/actress, same theme, same mood... but one new song and one old one... Isn't it promising?

Now, after preparing you for whats coming up, the show must begin! Cameras, Lights, Action!!

"Om Jai Laxmi Mata..." As all our blog's followers know, Diwali is a day to pray Goddess Laxmi, so that's how Sunday evening started... Neha, Natasha, Jenny, Bhavna, Dhristi & Chandini all of them choreographed by Sanya gave us the perfect start for a perfect evening :)

Next came our chintoo-mintoos ;) Priti & Muskan did a great job putting together this Around India Fashion Show, with baby Sikhs Abhishek & Udit, baby Maharathis Hitesh & Krish, baby South Indians Chiraag & Janvi and baby Bengoli dolls Drishti & Bhipasha.

Then we had some Angalika Mangalika Jadoo performed by our kiddos Juhi, Tania, Aditya, Sneha, Ishan & Akash thanx to their teacher Nisha.

After all this dancing we enjoyed with the Play of the night. Sweta & Sonu directed, Sonali, Kushi, Kirti, Dimpel & Roshni bringing us a great story about Diwali with a little comedy in it :D

If I say "Rang Bharse", what's the next thing that comes to your mind?? HOLI!!! That was the first fused and Confused theme... Nitu was able to make Eshika, Kashish, Harsh, Vishal, Aryan, Pranay, Phalak & Anjali fill the evening with colors and masti!

Hritikh and Rakesh, Akshay and Vinod, Dharmendar and Sunny, Abhishek and Amitabh, Feroz and Fardeen, Suresh and Vivek... Two generations of Bollywood actors with the bond of father and son... Guess one that's missing? Rishi and Raanvir Kapoor!! And Eshna, Rohan, Rishi, Anushka, Khrisha & Jaiom, choreographed by Namrata, made this possible.

Isn't it really very bad that when you have a "Haseena Zulfo Wali" the only thing your friends tell her is "Papu can't dance sala"? Pratik, Purab, Barkha, Ashwin & Gargi know that and if it hadn't been for their faboulous dance, we wouldn't have known ever ;)

One thing couldn't miss this evening... Boy falls in love with girl; girl has to marry someone else; boy promises to take her with him ;) Any two song in mind? Well Kiran, Swati, Manav, Kusum, Saurabh, Sahil, Gayatri & Ruchika thought of "Tenu Leke" & the always heart filling "Mehndi Laga ke Rakhna"

Have you ever fallen in love? Sometimes you fall in love, but don't realize until you here one of these songs... It all depends on your generation ;) On one hand, we have Karishma Kapoor telling us her heart was stolen suddenly and on the other we have Amritao Rao feeling the wind changing around her... Sanya did a lovely coreography with Vanshika, Devisha, Heena & Kareena making us all feel that "Love is in the air"

Seeing all this fantastic night, Munna Bhai told us: "Kya mamu... Apun ko bhi yahaa participate karne ko mangta he. Apun bhi jhakaas latke jatke mar sakta he. " So Kushboo, Mohit, Goldie, Hitesh, Tarun & Simran got together and did a Rapchik Tapori fusion confusion item ;)

And before a more than needed break, Rima choreographed Jayesh, Disha, Deva, Deepali, Sonali, Mohit Sonia, Chavek & Vivek and made us "move our body" and go for some samosa-pakora singing out loud "Moja Moja"

After our first break we started with loads of comedy thanx to our policemen Sonu & Dheeraj... And after the first laughter fit we were able to enjoye with Muskan and her wonderful Guitar Concert.

International beauty, not only Bollywod actress but even starring in films in Hollywood... Our new Pink Panther Aishwarya Rai has offered us great songs and Roshni, Pooja and Sonia thrilled us with these rhythms!

From one beauty to another one... And she's really confused us on Sunday... First, she tells us to "Just Chill Chill" but then, she makes us Race around... Vidhi made Karuna, Janam, Sonia, Priyal, Mahima & Shriya rock with Katrina Kaif's songs

And we all know that there is no two, without a three and to comply with that we enjoyed two fused songs of the dashing Bipasha Basu thanx to Meenakshi, Deepika, Roshni, Riya & Dipti.

After all this flabbergasting performances, we needed something a bit more calm... Kushi pleased our ears with a wonderful Piano Performance. Well done!

Disha, Monica, Romina, Natasha, Juhi & Barkha made us shake our bodies with two songs from two all time divas: Parveen Babi & Shushmita Sen with Javani Janeman & Mehboob Mere

Obviusly, we couldn't forget Bollywood's favourite all time dancer... Madhuri Dixit, a woman, that even beeing in her 40s she can't stop telling us to "Aaja Nachle" with her! Deepali, Neha, Kirti, Ayesha & Gina invited all of us to dance with them with the guideance of Sonia

Does anyone of you know who is the Cutest Vegetarian in a poll conducted by PETA?? Of course it is the bombshell, Kareena Kapoor with whose song Milan, Shriya, Bhavika, Nishika, Muskan Sharina & Melissa coordinated by Kavita made our man and ton go dole, dole ;)

Remix, remix, remix... What would the new generations do without the Great Remixes of the all time classics? Suraj, Anmol, Sneha, Navin, Vishal & Jayesh realized it, and wanted to share it with all of us

Hot, sexy, handsome... Khiladhyon ka Khiladi Akshay Kumar!! Vidhi & Neetu taught Krish, Viren, Akshay, Vicky, Tanith, Rohit, Karan & Arun to give the kicks and moves of Bollywood's greatest Khiladi :D

Jab We Met there was some kind of Kismat Konnection... Did you feel it? Well, Shahid Kapoor did and so did Eshna, Aanchal, Rahul, Vinay, Kushi, Krishi, Rahul, Jashan & Rahul with the hel of their choreographer Namrata

Big surprise for all of us was when our great anchors prepared a special remix... Rahul, Sonia, Badal & Shilpa did some awesome movements!!

And who’s the hottest girl in the world? Our Desi Mums!! Not only the hottest, but the most hard working, all the mamas that made this night possible... Decoration, gift packing, selling the tickets, welcoming to the event, coordinating kids, preparing rehearsals, sitting arrangements are just some of the things that our Desi Mums had to do: Conchi, Kiran, Harsha, Karishma, Nitu, Sneha (Kavita), Gayna, Nutan, Muskan, Karina, Prerna, Sara, Vidhi, Raksha, Rima, Jyoti, Sita, Namrata, Pooja, Manju, Priti, Priya, Manju, Mehak, Sanya, Laveena, Honey, Sita, Manju, Jhoti, Resham, Manju Lazor, Kiran, Kanchan, Shalu, Rima, Nami, Dani, Jyoti & many more...

A special mention goes to our DJ for the night DJ Sara; Lights Man, Amit; Camera man, Digital Express; Foto men, Rajesh & Jagdish; Our Anchors Rahul, Sonia, Jashan & Shilpa; Curtain men, Jeetu & Rakesh; our comedians Sonu & Dheeraj and of course, the Ayuntamiento de Adeje

And last, but most important... We would like to thank the great audience we had that night... You were all FANTABULOUS!!!

THANK YOU to each and every person mentioned in this post because without you all, this great night wouldn't have been possible!

Sunday 9th November 2008 was a unique night, a night that will stay in our hearts, minds and eyes as the night that we could find Taare Zameen Par, our little start in our little Adeje...

Show was good but the comedy part was too extended and not worth for a childrens diwali ball.
it got too boring and started giving a headache!!!!

The ICC kids camp team did a great job with organising and coordinating the event..looks like the formula worked out well...but i totally agree with the fact that the comedy part was too lengthy and totally not enjoyable for the kids...they were getting bored...and didn´t even understand anything....
Always room for improvement !!
Good job overall anyway !

hi
i totally disagree WITH the two comments ABOVE
i think if the comedy part was not there, the programme would be seen more lengthy because can´t you imagine being in a 3 hour show watching non stop only dances and dances and dances without any break.YOU WOULD GO MAD!!!!!!!!
we have to look at the other side of the coin. i think the comedy was meant to be for the parents who came to the show, NOT ONLY FOR THE KIDS AS YOU SAY ABOVE.
I THINK THE SHOW HAS TO ENTERTAIN BOTH KIDS AND PARENTS.
I think the comedy was fenomenal and the kids dances were great.well done to all of them for their hard work & ICC KIDS CAMP LADIES DID A GREAT JOB AND I CONGRATULATE THEM. "JAI NAARI SHAKTI" - LOL

Thanks to all for all your comments, each comment helps us improve, n if we get the chance again next year we will have all ur comments in mind n try n satisfy all. Without your support we wouldn´t have reached sooo far. As for comedy, ya it was meant to entertain elders, but we did realize it was stretching too much n thats why we cut it asap. Definitely will try n improve next time.

WELL DONE ICC KIDS CAMP
DANCES WERE GREAT
COMEDY WAS GREAT
COSTUMES WERE GREAT
MUSIC WAS GREAT
LADIES SAREES WERE GREAT
ORGANISATION WAS GREAT
FOOD WAS GREAT
HALL WAS GREAT
& FINALLY AS EVERYONE ABOVE ARE PUTTING THERE COMMENTS ON THE COMEDY ACTS - I ASUME THEY WERE GREAT AND WITHOUT THEM THE SHOW WOULD BECOME A CHILDRENS DISCOTEQUE...NOT A DIWALI SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ANOTHER SUGGESTION WOULD BE PLEASE NEXT TIME NOT PUT ALL DANCES AND DANCES
THE GUITAR ACT & PIANO ACT WAS VERY GOOD
THE SMALL SKIT WAS EXCELLENT
LAXMI AARTI WAS GOOD BUT NEXT TIME DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT AS ITS VERY REPEATED EVERY YEAR,MAYBE A BHAJAN OR MANTRA!
OVERALL VERY WELL DONE TO THE LADIES AND ORGANISERS AND THE PLEASE IGNORE THE PEOPLE WHO ONLY KNOW HOW TO CRITISE IN THE WORLD AND ALWAYS LIKE TO POINT OUT MISTAKES
THIS IS CAUSE THEY ARE JEALOUS...
HATS OFF TO ALL ICC KIDS CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!
REGARDS,
SALONI

Hi,
I think the comedy act was good but looked long cause it was only in the second half
What was the point of putting it only in the second half - it has to be put for the whole show
the first half was very empty without it
The anonymous people above: pleaseeeeeee put your names to catch you next time - stop putting negative points............ learn how to appreciate others work

Dear Muskaan & Saloni,
I trully agree you both, i think next time there should be more variety in the show. We don´t go to watch only dances in a show, we are all day watching dances on TV, on computers and watch our children dance in the house.
Regarding the comedy, i think it was very well done, the jokes were too good, well done to the script writer.

I feel without it, the show would become phika phika. Therefore the people who found the comedy "too long or stretchy" i totally disagree & would encourage more of this workin future shows because someone told me that its very easy to make someone cry, but very hard to make them laugh. On the contrary,

i think the dances should have a variety in them.........eg...... marriage songs or love songs or comedy songs or classical or old songs or even a small skit type including songs, i mean situational songs.
I would like to add one more comment, it is not necessary to put the elder childrens dance at the end, next time the organisers should choose 1 dance according to them that is the best. because the last dance was good but not the best. The earlier items were much better. This will cause competition between kids and this is how they improve.
Anyways, i dont want to be "pesada", but because this blog has been created i think everyone has the full right to express themselves. ICC KID CAMP! I LOVE YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND IGNORE THE NEGATIVITY THE PEOPLE HAVE IN TENERIFE SOUTH..........................................

REGARDS,
PAYAL

hi,
very true, the first dances were much better than the last ones = one more opinion: too many dances
i think we need a change now = it has been too many years with thae same theme: dances and dances = please organisers try to be more imaginative and creative
