ICC Kids Camp's blog is here!

ICC Kids Camp's journey starts a war summer of 2007, in Playa de las Américas, Tenerife, Spain.Few weeks before Día de Canarias we were thinking of doing something with the kids, so they would learn about Canarias and, at the same time, have fun with other friends. So we got in touch with Mr. Purshotam and booked the Indian Cultural Center (ICC) for that weekend.

We got down to business and prepared a fun full evening with bingos, quizzes and paintings all about Día de Canarias. The response of parents and kids was great! We had almost 50 people having an amazing time!

After seeing the success of the evening we thought: "Why shouldn't we do this every week with many other topics to keep the kids busy during the summer?" And that's when ICC Kids Camp is born, a a place where children can learn in a creative and entertaining way using handicrafts, paintings, sculptures, dances, films, quizzes and games as our only weapons :D

During the 60th Indian Independence Day preparations things went on growing more and more: we created our own e-mail address (ICCKidsCamp at gmail dot com), made our own mailing lists, published a google calendar so no one missed out the important dates, created a web album so we could share all the photos and last, but not least, made our blog, the ICC Kids Camp Blog, an easy way to keep all of you informed about everything we are doing.
