Most Awaited Festival about to Begin...

So how have your summer holidays been? Sure all have had great ones! We, here at our classes, have had a Ball of a time with all our different activities, which we are sure you all have been reading about even if you have not attended coz u have been away!

Never mind dears, we have lots more in store for all...

To begin with, we would like to remind you all that the most awaited festival celebrated by all here in Tenerife south is about to begin... Yes u guessed right, Our very special friend is back with us once more, So lets celebrate Ganpati Chaturthi at the best together.

• Starting : Wednesday 3rd September 2008 till Sunday 14th September 2008 (11 Days)
• Sthapna at ICC : Wednesday 3rd September 2008 at 15:00 Sharp
• Daily morning Aarti: 9:30 am Sharp
• Daily Bhajans n night Aarti : 22:00 to 23:00 sharp
• More details on visarjan, and a night stay over with the kids at the ICC, will shortly be informed to all

So friends see you all there! Don´t miss it coz this year there are many surprises our friend Ganesha has in store for all ;)

Independence Day Celebrations

Time once again to honour India’s independence from the British rule in 1947.

We are putting up a cultural program with patriotic songs, instrumental renditions and a skit, followed by a flag hoisting ceremony.

We are extending an invitation to one and all to come and be part of this memorable event. Food will be available throughout the evening at the kitchenette catered by Kiran’s.

Time: 6pm-9pm

Location: ICC, Pineda

Entrance fee: €2

GANPATI MURTI MAKING

HERE COMES THE GANESHA MURTI MAKING DAYS

GET READY FOR THE 3rd OF SEPTEMBER THE BIG DAY OF STAPNA

WE WELCOME ALL THE KIDS TO COME AND MAKE THEIR MURTIS
THEY CAN EITHER DECIDE TO TAKE IT HOME FOR THE 11 DAYS OR LEAVE IT IN THE MANDIR . THEY WILL HAVE TO ATTEND THE ARTIS IF THEY ARE GOING TO LEAVE THEIR MURTIS IN THE MANDIR AND PARTICIPATE IN THE VISARJAN AFTERWARDS.

THERE ARE GOING TO BE 4 CLASSES:

1. 12 AUGUST TUESDAY 6:00 PM
   
2. 19 th AUGUST TUESDAY 6:00 PM
   
3. 23 th AUGUST SATURDAY 6:00 PM
4. 26 th AUGUST TUESDAY 6:00 PM

• THE CHILDREN WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO MAKE THE MURTIS ONCE THE CLASSES START. MOTHERS ARE NOT ALLOWED BECAUSE THE KIDS CAN LEARN BETTER.
• THE COST OF THE FOUR CLASSES WILL BE 12 EUROS
  
• PARENTS CAN CONTRIBUTE BEADS. POSTER COLOURS, PAINT BRUSHES IF THEY WISH TO DO SO
• BE PART OF THIS SPECIAL OCCASION SO THAT YOUR KID CAN BE AWARE OF HIS CULTURE. HE OR SHE WILL LEARN HOW TO TAKE CARE OF GANESHA DURING HIS STAY IN OUR HOMES.
• THEY WILL ALSO BE LEARNING THE GANESHA MANTRAS, ARTI AND FOOD PRAYER.
